Winter Drive

Tim took me out for a fun drive near North Bend today up towards Mailbox Peak. It was super fun and we saw some pretty sights, but my camera has been doing that weird thing where all the pictures were grainy again. I didn't have them set as raw files like last time, so I don't know what to think anymore. Whatevs. Maybe it was the lighting, because it was getting dark. That is possible. If you have any ideas you could mention them below, because so far "lighting" is all I can think of.

Commission Completion

I am rocking just over 5000 pageviews, and I'm not entirely sure I should call myself "amateur" anymore as far as photography goes. Perhaps advanced amateur or semi-pro may suffice. Why? Because with the help of my old boss I have just wrapped up my first commissioned photography job! What more? The client wants additional photos of mine! Woohoo! I was sent this picture of the final product. That means I did not take it, but I did take the photos in this photo. Pic-ception? Well I am stoked. Also, the interior design in this photo has been put together by the wonderful people at Madison Home of Spokane. If you're ever close to eastern Washington and need some furniture or accessories then you should hit them up! They're awesome people, and they will treat you like family.

Konica Trial

I bought a Konica SLR for $5 at an estate sale. It came with a bunch of other features, but I haven't gotten to play with them yet. I had to make sure that the camera worked first and make sure there weren't any nasty light leaks. There are none. Yay! I got these pictures developed and they're beautiful. I also have a "new" Minolta camera, a present from my mother-in-law, with which I will be taking more pictures. So be on the lookout for 35mm beauties like these in the near future.

Winter in Seattle

A more accurate title would be "Winter in Sammamish/Bellevue", but that's pretty long, so I'll stick with what I have. My nephew had fun playing outside in his orange marshmallow jacket, so naturally I followed him around and snapped a few shots. Then my husband took me to the snowflake lane or whatever the heck it's called in downtown Bellevue for some festive night photos. We missed the parade thanks to some last-minute customers in my store, but I still got some great shots.
