Apartment Hunting

No, we didn't bring guns. Timmy started searching for apartments a few weeks ago and started going to apartments yesterday. He found one he liked right away. I visited it this morning. It's fantastic. We paid a deposit and sent in an application, so we will hear by Monday if it's ours. When we do get an apartment I will take happy before and afters. For now I just really want to show you this one picture of the living area. It's so cozy!

Word of the Day: Minion

In honor of today's date, 11/12/13, I will post a post. Please hold your applause 'till the end. Today's word is "minion." The main entry defines this as "a servile dependent, follower, or underling." I define it as "the best thing(s) about 'Despicable Me.'" I wasn't a huge fan of that movie. Maybe it's because I saw it a couple months after it hit theaters and all of the hype gave me unrealistic expectations, but the minions were all I liked about that movie. I liked them so much that I bought a minion shirt. Of course it was only $5 at a thrift shop, but still. I don't wear t-shirts with bad characters. I have Tweety, Marvin the Martian, Oscar the Grouch, 2 Marvel shirts, Princess Peach (made it myself, I'm so good), and a Minion. I used to have a Mario/Yoshi shirt, but it sadly passed its torch on to less threadbare shirts. Those are all great characters. So here it is, my minion post. And please forgive me for the long respite; I was job searching. Good news! I found one! And goodnight.

Sunset

Here are pictures of a sunset over Lake Washington. That skyline along the horizon is Bellevue. Tim and I were at a friend's house watching the Seahawks game (which we almost lost to the Buccaneers...yikes!). By the time we left the sun was setting, thanks especially to daylight savings. It was super pretty. Apparently these colors are rare in the Seattle area, so I'm glad I begged him (okay, more like told him) to pull over so I could take some pictures.

Arachnophobia

This post isn't called "arachnophobia" because I have it...it's because if you have it you won't want to read this post. Seriously. Close the window now. Shut down the laptop. Walk away from the desktop. Only if you have arachnophobia though...if you don't, stick around! This is really interesting. Timmy loves to feed spiders. He did it as a kid and showed other kids how to do it as a teenager. Now he does it so I can take awesome shots of spider web coming out of the arachnids' butts. Seriously, you'll see what I mean. You'll also see some big spider vs. little spider action. Guess who wins? It's not that hard. Think of it this way. You don't take a pocket knife to a sword fight. Get what I'm sayin? You'll find out soon enough if not. So here now are the eensy weensy spider pictures. Enjoy.

A Photo A Day 31: Boo!

Happy Halloween! We stayed in tonight and handed out candy. Tomorrow night is our party night. I didn't take many pictures, but I do have a nice shot of my epic creepy tree pumpkin. I carved it myself-the second one I've ever done in my life. Yay! So Boo! Don't get too scared and pace yourself on that candy...no need for belly aches!

Yeah, okay. That's random. Here's a pillow from our temporary room in Sammamish.

A Photo A Day 29: 9:15 am

Well, since I was driving to work at 9:15 am this morning, there is no way I could have (safely and sanely) taken a picture. Therefore I shall share a picture from 9:15 pm. And when I say 9:15 I mean 10:15. And when I say 10:15 I mean 10:50. I'm a bad person. This photo is of our mostly packed, bare walled main room. We are moving tomorrow so everything is pretty much good to go, though we aren't taking everything. Since we will be living at my in-laws' house temporarily there will be no need to bring furniture, food consumption tools, or anything else they will have there. We mostly need just clothes, but we're bringing other stuff too so we won't have to make too many trips between Seattle and Spokane. Without further ado, I give you our room.
