Hawai'i

My husband and I recently took a trip to Hawaii with some friends. We went to the islands of Oahu and Kauai, and these are my favorite photos from that trip. Enjoy!

Drawings

I finally have all the drawings for my new book completed! Well, until I add another chapter. That's what has happened a couple of times already, at least. Which one is your favorite? I know they're pretty small, but I did that on purpose. I'm sneaky, you see. This way, you can't study them and find out too much. And you can't steal them either. ;)

Bookmarks

I'm pondering the possibility of creating bookmarks. Nothing crazy; it'd just be a little something to go along with some of the books I give away/sell. What are your thoughts? Do you like the little trinkets that authors sometimes add? Or does everyone already have too many bookmarks on hand? To give you an idea of what they'd look like, below are three examples for my Liberty book.

Washington Wildfires

If you've been paying attention to the news, you know that the west coast is on fire. Literally. Don't worry, I'm not personally affected by them. I did, however, drive past one of the big ones - the one taking over Chelan - when I went camping with my husband and some friends this weekend. It was crazy. I didn't see the flames, which is good (it means you're too close), but we saw plenty of smoke. Here are the pictures to prove it. Hint: Those aren't clouds and that's not fog. The sky was bright blue and clear that day.
