Cover Input

Although my new novel isn't done I've been working on the cover art. It's taken about two dozen photos and a lot of digital time to put together. You'll see why below.

I'd like you to help me out. First of all, do you even like it? Would you pick up a book with this cover and think "I'd like to read that"? Secondly, there are two versions. One, the first one as a matter of fact, is a very flat cutout design. The other is similar, though I have edited it so it looks like it's been pieced together with construction paper. There are drop shadows on several levels as well as a texture overlay.

Which one is your favorite? Would you alter something on one or both of them? Do you hate them altogether? Please comment below and let me know your thoughts.

Oh, clever me. I've found out a way to include my own photos in a Goodreads blog post. You can only link to photos from the Internet, so if I post them here I have access to them there! The Battle for Liberty

Here's a sneak peek of the cover and a drawing for my new book The Battle for Liberty! It's also fantasy. This one started out as an adaptation of The Nutcracker and took off from there. Barely any bit of my original premise exists; just a few snippets in the first two chapters. Hopefully it'll be published by the end of the year.
