There are tons of fantastic hiking spots all around western Washington as you may well know. One of them is a little lake called Annette. It's a 5-mile hike round trip (approximately, though online says different), and the destination is beautiful. I have the pictures to prove it. I'm only sharing my best ones. And one for fun: my husband jumping off a rock in time lapse fashion.
Formerly known as Solarscapes Photography, this site is now dedicated both to my photographic and literary pursuits.

Deception Pass
I went on a lovely biking trip with my husband and some friends to Deception Pass in Washington. It's as far west as I've been in this state, and it was awesome. I didn't get any good pictures of the bridges there since one friend led us the wrong way, but our misadventure did allow me to get great shots of an area I wouldn't have otherwise seen.

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival
This tulip festival is a pretty big deal in Washington. It's held in Mount Vernon and consists of hundreds of acres of tulips. They aren't consecutive; it's just a bunch of farms that have their own fields of flowers. Since it's such a big deal, the places get crowded very quickly. My hubby and I woke up at 5 am so we could get out there before sunrise at 6:30 am. That way, we only had other fellow photographers to avoid. Well, and some Hispanic field workers doing their job to make the fields beautiful. I got some great pictures of their lovely work.

Farrel-McWhirter Park
My hubby and I drove around on his scooter yesterday because it was so nice outside. We stopped by this park to explore, and I took a few pictures. He had been there before years ago for a field trip, but since he didn't remember it well and I had never been it was a fun experience for both of us. We also stopped by Marymoor Park so we could fly our trick kite. That's where the sunset pictures were taken. All of these were taken with my iTouch.

Craigslist Posting
I have posted an ad in Craigslist for my photography.
I am giving you the opportunity to purchase my photos! Not that you didn't have the opportunity before, but I am now making it blatantly obvious that you can buy my stuff. If you saw something in an earlier post that you liked, you can ask me about buying a print of that photo as well. Just know that if it's of a recognizable person and you either are not that person or are not related to them, I will say no. Here are some photographs I took for my high school 35mm class that you might enjoy. Or buy. Or both. Whatever makes you happy.

35mm Color Film
I don't use color film nearly enough. It's sad. Usually I go digital or use black and white film, but not this time. This time I used color. I've never done double exposures with color film before, but I tried a few this time. I also took some pictures of performing bands in Seattle. I didn't really enjoy the music (not my style), but they did lend themselves to fun photos. Oh, and the winter sunset photos are nice as well.

Pro Lam
My company offers a photo mounting option called Pro Lam. Basically your photo is mounted on MDF board and laminated against everything that could harm it. They used my photo as an example. It's the photo I took of Wild Goose Island at Glacier National Park. You can see it in the upper right-hand corner of the following photo. My photos are gaining a presence in this world!
