Washington provides lots of different hikes with gorgeous views at the top. Yesterday I hiked Mount Si with Timmy and his dad. From the top you can see the view from Rainier to Seattle. It's gorgeous. I'll be taking plenty of hiking trips for pretty much the rest of my life, so keep your eyes open for more awesome shots. We also fed grey jays at the top, and that in itself made the 8 mile round-trip hike straight up totally worth it.

Budding Photographer Pictures
When I was about ten years old my teacher assigned my class to write little books about what we wanted to be when we grew up. They were called "Hey! Look at Me! I can be Anything!" Clever, huh? I picked basketball player, artist, author/illustrator, and maybe one or two other things. I do know that I didn't pick photographer. I'm not even sure I knew that was a viable option. Needless to say, I didn't actively pursue photography at that time. Regardless, I recently dug through an old photo album of mine and discovered where my humble photography roots began. The following pictures were all taken between the ages of 10 and 13 (ish) by yours truly. They're all scans of prints from 35mm film, so don't expect to be too blown away.
