My next purchase for my camera will be a telephoto zoom lens. I'm in desperate need of one. Not really, but it would sure be fun to play with. Anyway, I would love to zoom in on things from a distance away. I'd love to start my own personal project consisting of taking photos of athletes' faces during sporting events, but you can't get super close to them without being pulverized. I just started doing research on Canon lenses (since my camera is a Canon), and so far this one looks decent. I don't want to spend over $1000, especially since I am an amateur and don't get reimbursed for my photos. If you know anything about lenses, let me know what you think!
