I have found that sunsets in Washington can't hold a candle to sunsets in Texas. Literally. They don't have hands. Every once in a while you get a good one, but especially in Spokane, the sun often dips below the horizon without painting brilliant colors across the sky. I don't know what it is about Texas. Maybe the souls of the wildflowers escape into the atmosphere upon nightfall and their colors transform the sky into a reflection of the very wildflowers they belong to. I don't know. All I know is, unless you're somewhere spectacular such as the Grand Canyon or Hawaii, you won't find a better sunset than in the plains of Texas. That being said, here is my attempted capture of the sun going down in Spokane.
