Word of the Day: Pinchbeck

Double duty! WHAAAAT?? Today's word of the day is "pinchbeck." It means "made of an alloy of copper and zinc used especially to imitate gold in jewelry." It also means "counterfeit or spurious." Now I'm not sure what this piece of jewelry is actually made of; it may have a teeny bit of gold in it, but the pearl is fake (an observation I made due to its being glued straight on to the brooch), and the pin certainly is not worth a lot. Therefore, I choose it to be my pinchbeck. It does have a cool pattern, so definite points for trying must be awarded. You have fallen short, though, fool's brooch. Try foiling someone else next time.
