Soft Focus

Soft focus, as many other alterations in photography, was first produced as a lens flaw due to spherical aberration. Now lenses are made especially to copy this technique. Photoshop can achieve this effect too, of course. Soft focus can bring simplicity to a photograph and soften portraits beautifully. Lots of wedding photos are taken with the soft focus effect. I may apply it to some of mine just for fun. I'm not sharing those with you, though, because I didn't take them. This blog is for me. It's mine. You can tell if an image is soft focused because though it is in focus, there seems to be a touch of blur everywhere. Take a look at what I mean.
